"I thoroughly enjoyed reading this series which ended with House of Royale. As a super fan of soul mates, strong protective men, funny strong females, friendship bonds that can't be broken - I couldn't put any of the 4 books in this series down. In fact, I started with House of Darken, moved right into House of Imperial, stayed up to finish House of Leights and ended this morning with House of Royale. Every aspect of these 4 books was entertaining: love, friendship, heroes/heroines, villians, obstacles to overcome, paths to decide, non-graphic sex, the heartache of death and the redemption of those fallen. I loved every book and will reread again and again. Well done, Jaymin Eve, well done!! Highly recommend the series and anything written by this author."

I was excited and dreading its end! I loved each character and the relationships each one built with their mates. I was somewhat scared to see what Xander was going to do since he was so adamant that he wasn’t looking for a mate. Little did he know that Fate knew exactly what, or should I say whom, he needed in his life. Him and Avalon’s storyline was amazing! You learn that Fate knows what its doing and when they handpick a perfect mate for you, there’s nothing to stop you two from coming together.
This was a great conclusion to an incredible adventure! I loved I got to read a bonus scene one for each of the girls. This is one of my favorite series and will be reading it again very soon!
House of Royale is the fourth and final book in The Secret Keepers Series (if you haven't read the others - what are you waiting for??) This book begins right where book 3 leaves off with Avalon and literally sucks you in from the first sentence. You get to see how much of a fighter and how strong-willed she is right from the get-go! I will admit was a little nervous to see the interaction between Xander and Avalon as he was so dang adamant about not wanting or needing a mate but no one messes with Fate (or Avalon)! Fate knows what and who is best for you (even if you don't)!!!
This was an AMAZING end to a wonderful series and I especially enjoyed the bonus scenes at the end for all of the girls. I thoroughly enjoyed reading the series and hopefully, you will too!

I was so nervous going into this book because Xander was so against the secret keepers being fated to the overlords, but his and Ava’s story turned out to be amazing! You start the final book in the series meeting Ava, the House of Royals secret keeper. She has an intense connection to the ocean and her inner dialog was fun to read. I loved watching her strength as her character developed throughout the story. For the sake of not spoiling anything I will just say that this book is seriously action packed and wraps things up nicely. Everything is explained well. I only wish we could have more of this group because their personalities and dynamic are so hilarious to read. Fantastic conclusion to a series I highly recommend!!!
Avalon was abandoned by her caretakers and has made her home in the waters around Hawaii. When she meets up with our previous crew, she begins to realize that she's got a family that's been searching for her. It was really nice to see them all connect and come together. Glad to know what happens in the end, but sad to leave the group. Hopefully, this author will be willing to continue the stories of some of these houses so we can keep up with the characters we've already connected with. There were a couple of uncertain parts for me, though near the ending in regards to the bond severing, but overall, it was a happy conclusion and everyone was able to get some closure.
This series was incredible - everything that you could want including action, love, and people finding their place in the world with growing family members. Ava brings another aspect to this world that I love, she knows how to go with the flow but can kick butt when needed. We get to see a side to Xander that we haven't gotten to see yet. He had always been a mystery before and we never really got to get to know him, I was glad to explore Royale world with Xander and Ava. I feel sad that this is the last Secret Keepers book in this series but I really hope in the future Jaymin Eve comes back to this world so we can explore some more!
What a thrilling end to a an incredible adventure! I absolutely loved seeing all eight of them together working on the problem and a way to foil Laous. Avalon, the fourth and final secret keeper is the key to finding where the starslight stone is hidden. She works well with Zander, her counterpart in the House Royale. I don't want this series to over, at least the four couples who will be ruling the Overworld. They work well together and there has to be another adventure that they and some of their friends and family members could entertain us with. I am not ready to say goodbye. I definitely recommend this book and series. Enjoy! 💚💙💛💜
What an outstanding ending of a series! I didn’t want it to end. Jaymin Eve did a fabulous job wrapping up the Secret Keepers Series in the final book “House of Royaleâ€. Ava fits right in with the secret keeper girls. Craving to feel loved and accepted she finds a home with the other girls and the Daelighters. Xander tries to fight the connection he has with Ava. Their dynamics were spot on in this book. Strong emotions are felt in the reader as you read this last book. Have some tissues ready – not all sad or shocking but still very emotional. Great job on another amazing series.

Das zu erkennen und zu erklären, dafür ist die Ozeanographie zuständig, eine Wissenschaft, die Vertrauen schafft Wer auf dem Meer reist, der bekommt, mit ihr und durch sie, eine Ahnung davon, was der Ozean eigentlich ist und auf was sich sein Schiff bewegt. Denn das Meiste davon ist nicht eben mal so zu sehen Verborgen im Wasserkörper "taucht es nicht auf" (Unterwasserrelief), "fließt es kaum erkennbar an einem vorbei" (Strömungen), "geht es scheinbar sinnlos rauf und runter" (Wellen und Gezeiten), "verweht es mit dem Wind" (Gischt), "löst es sich auf" (Salze) oder "ändert seine Gestalt" (z.B. bei Temperaturwechsel vom flüssigen Wasser zum festen Eis). Erst die wissenschaftlichen Untersuchungen der Geografen, Ozeanografen, Küsteningenieure und Hydrologen geben uns über Tiefenkarten (erstellt aus Echolotaufzeichnungen), Fließgeschwindigkeiten (Strömungsmessungen), Wasserstände und Gezeiten (Pegelaufzeichnungen) oder beispielsweise Sedimente (Bodenanalysen) im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes "Aufschluss". Bei einem Blick über das Meer, vor allem vom fahrenden Schiff aus, fällt es dem Betrachter zwar nicht auf, aber es ist gesicherte Erkenntnis auch im Ozean "strömt" das Wasser! Eine der vielen Fragen ist also, was der Grund dafür sein kann, dass sich Strömungen im Ozean ausbilden; woher und wohin werden Wassermengen bewegt; welche Bedeutung haben die weltumspannenden "Förderbänder"; wie kann man sie messen und viele andere Fragen werden im Buch beantwortet. Dazu müssen wir zunächst einige grundlegende Zusammenhänge erklären, um anschließend ganz konkret auf die Unterelbe, das Gebiet der Nordsee, den Nordatlantik und die Arktis einzugehen ... dabei vor allem auch auf den Golfstrom und den "untermeerischen Wasserfall", der eine maßgebliche Rolle im Gesamtgeschehen spielt. Wir betrachten natürlich die Eisabbrüche Grönlands, die Wanderschaft der Eisberge und die arktische Eisbildung nördlich von Spitzbergen. Nähern wir uns auf unserer virtuellen Reise Norwegen, wird die Fjordbildung erklärt, der "Mahlstrom" und der "Saltstraumen" betrachtet sowie an den Tsunami der "gga"-Rutschung erinnert.

"This is a non fiction narrative primarily about two brothers taking a three mule team, covered wagon across the historical Oregon Trail. The narrative has a popular style flow and is easily read. There is a lot of information about the Oregon Trail. Personally, I found it very instructional. As an amateur history student, I probably doubled my personal knowledge about The Oregon Trail by carefully reading this work. The author also includes a good deal of personal stories insights about his own life that I found very interesting.
I closely followed the progress of the trip as described. I used maps and took notes. I enjoyed that very much. I read additional articles about the various locations. I found the entire exercise very illuminating. I plan on following the Oregon Trail as best I can on highways this fall. The author often left the highways with his covered wagon.
The author also shares his personal views on subjects such as religion. He makes it clear he is an atheist. That is all well and good but at times I found his lectures tiresome. After all there is a reason that the word "faith" exists and there is a reason we each know what it means and how it feels. In the end, Atheism is still a faith based belief system. Speaking for myself, that was probably the part of this otherwise fine work that I liked the least.
The author also went on a brief tirade against law enforcement. I am not sure that was necessary. The outburst was not related to this adventure. The author's experience during the trip with law enforcement seemed all positive.
In the event one reads this fine work and enjoys it as I did, by coincidence, a friend recommended to me another book that I also enjoyed and is of a similar format, except it is about a motorcycle trip. The name of the book is "The Old Man And The Harley" by John J. Newkirk.

Rinker (the author) and his brother decided on a whim to build a covered wagon, buy a set of mules to pull it, and head out on the Oregon Trail. They started In Missouri and travelled through Nebraska, Wyoming, Idaho, and Oregon to get there - over 2000 miles. They essentially traced the route the settlers took, over 400,000 of them made the trip in the middle of the 1800's. The book consists of several things - the story of the trip I great detail, ruminations about Rinker's father and how he made him who he was, and passages about the West. These included, among others, information about the importance of mules, how the wagon business prospered as a result of the Trail, the impact of the trail on the Native American population, and how the Mormons (LDS) affected the trail and its history. In the beginning the sheer amount of information is a bit off-putting. After the first few chapters are complete it sort of becomes part of the scenery and blends in. Additionally he and his brother become humanized and there is often a warm feeling present. They actually do make it after making their way through many hair-raising adventures. All of those are told with a breathless spirit that adds to the interest. If you have an interest in the West and how it came to be, you will enjoy this wonderful book.
I'd heard about the Oregon Trail, but didn't really know much about it. I bought this book at the suggestion of a friend. There are many books on the subject, old and newer. This one is current and informative, entertaining and a picture of the changes in the trail which was at its height in the 1840's. Obviously, Buck and his brother had very different problems than the original pioneers. That's why I decided to first read a first hand experience written by Francis Parkman in around 1845. I'm glad I did and I'd suggest that to anyone reading this recent account. Both old and new books are easy reads and excellent glimpses into an important part of American history. The newer book however might appeal to a man or someone more into the technicalities of wagon construction, mule harnesses, etc., but this doesn't take away from the relationships of people on the trail or that of the two brothers.

Rinker Buck is hilarious. I was fortunate enough listen to him at a local library and it was one of the best author talks I've attended. There's a little bit of everything in here from American history that's all but been forgotten to why you should sleep next to a pile of manure. What else do you need?
I had seen the writer on a TV show and ordered the book immediately. It was quite an epic journey of two totally different brothers who set out on a journey to trace the steps of so many pioneers who had traversed this trip across unknown territory. I was amazed that they were still able to find much of the original trail, especially through the mountains! Loved how Rinker was able to weave his own personal story/relationship with his father as he and his brother traveled. They had many interesting experiences with some colorful people who helped them along their trip. The ONLY couple who were awful to them, I hope were remorseful about their attitudes, especially when they see their names in print! It is a really, really good book and highly recommended--some strong language between the brothers! Loved that the mules have a good home together after all that travel!

A very, very good course on information theory that is the wrong format. Read that again before you purchase this as an audiobook/audio course. It’s a clear, well constructed, thorough, detailed introduction to information theory using fundamental mathematical principles.
It’s well produced and the audio is top quality. It just doesn’t work in audio if you are expecting to listen on your commute or in the gym. The math is not trivial. The topics are complex. Video would have helped in every way, for every explanation.
So, if you want a college level introduction to info theory, this is it. If you can’t visualize theorems, functions, and equations, this is NOT for you.

Discover and learn how to balance yours! I bought two more and gifted them to friends who state they see themselves and others in a more intimate way. This book, plus my own course of study, has proven invaluable! I carry my little sack of Chakra stones with me in my work as a Doula or Soul Midwife. Many of my 'patients' feel much relief when their Chakras are in balance. Yes! They ARE real!

Very informative and insightful. As a novice, I found this book helpful in learning all the basics about what chakras are, how they work with each other, and how to balance and repair them. This book has opened several doors for me in furthering my knowledge about chakras and spirituality.
