• This is an intriguing and entertaining story, but there's not much romance to it. Johnny, a pirate who appeared from the 18th century, is just like Capt. Jack Sparrow, charming, amusing, bold, but when he meets Izzy, he also becomes caring and protective. Izzy is vulnerable, insecure and stubborn. Johnny pops into her life while she's waiting at home to surprise her boyfriend. Unfortunately the surprise is on her when he shows up with another woman. She throws him out and spends the next 2 months teaching Johnny about the 21st century. The night of her graduation they find themselves back in his time, because he needs to lead his fellow pirates in the war against the British Navy, but first he had to learn to not be selfish. It's a very entertaining story.
• 3.5 stars. This is the second book in the Swashbuckling Romance series. While this is part of a series, it can be read as a standalone. There isn't a traditional cliffhanger but the storyline is open-ended for the next book in the series. There is violence and the sex is hot and steamy so 18+.
  
  The book blurb adequately describes the storyline so I'm not going to repeat that info here. The author managed to describe the main characters Isabelle (Izzy) and Johnny and the settings well. The storyline is average, though it did involve time travel which was a plus for me. Overall it still was a good read.
  
  I really enjoyed this book and I'm looking forward to reading more from this author including more in this series.
• I was hooked from the moment I started reading this awesome book. The characters are very well written and the way that Johnny and Izzy meet for the first time is kinda comical until her boyfriend shows up at her apartment with another girl while poor Izzy is in nothing but some sexy lingerie that she put on to try and spice up her relationship. I love the bantering and bickering between Izzy's best friend Bex and Johnny they were reminded me of how siblings fight!!
  If you like time travel romance then I highly recommend this book for you, it has romance and comedy all rolled into one!!
• I’ve read several books written by Heather C. Myers; she has done a good job at writing a good book. She is becoming one of my favorite authors and I can’t wait to read more of her books.
  
  The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.
  
  I loved the chemistry between the characters.

• To Believe a Buccaneer A Scandalous Adventure at Seas Series by Heather C. Myers is a Historical, Pirate Romance. A cheating boyfriend. A naked pirate. A curse to be reckoned with. An enjoyable and wonderful time travel romance with humor and adventure, an interesting storyline and great characters. There's great chemistry between the main characters. I already owned the book but I also wanted to voluntarily leave a review for Booksprout.
• For me, Beautiful Disaster had an interesting plot, was a slow and melty love story and had a nice time-travel element. But it didn't grab and hold me through the end. I didn't "fall" into the story. Izzy and Johnny were not bigger than life characters. Sometimes situations turn regular people into compelling characters, but Izzy and Johnny mostly stayed the same--like real life, but that doesn't make for a 'grab you where it counts' reading experience. I'm giving it a 4 star rating because (despite the typos, etc.) I did read it all the way through to the end. It was a pleasant story, if uninvolving. I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review.
• I thoroughly enjoyed this fun time travel story with great characters, romance and intrigue. Izzy and Johnny are from different eras, but theirs is a great love story. She walked in on her boyfriend with another woman, then discovered a buccaneer in her living room. There is a lot of fun, romance and intrigue. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy from Booksprout.
• This book will hook you right at the beginning with Izzy, Johnny, Zach, and hussy. Then you have Bex, Brandon, Tina mother and who is Willow? These great characters just start out the story later in the book there are added ones that are super too. I really enjoyed this one just a hint there may be more than one time traveler. I so recommend this one it was a hoot!
